All 50 states plus Washington DC have installer listings. Installer data is auto-researched from public profiles and should be verified before relying on contact information.
How we choose installers
Every installer listed is independently researched. We prioritize companies that are locally owned, licensed in the state they serve, and residentially focused. National installers (Sunrun, SunPower, Tesla, etc.) are listed where they have meaningful local presence and a track record of reasonable customer service in that state.
We do not take payment, sponsorship, or referral fees from any installer. Listing isn't an endorsement — it's a starting point. You should always:
- Verify the installer's license status with your state contractor licensing authority
- Check BBB and Google reviews from your specific city or county
- Get at least three bids and compare them objectively (the analyzer can help — how to compare solar bids)
- Read the actual contract, not just the summary or marketing materials
Got bids from local installers?
Upload up to four solar proposals from any installer in any state. The analyzer compares $/W, production estimates, equipment, and financing structure — then tells you which one to sign.

Are Alaska and Hawaii covered?
Yes. Both Alaska and Hawaii have dedicated installer pages. Their solar economics, snow loads, climates, and contractor markets are different from the lower 48 — pricing, equipment selection, and incentives need to be evaluated locally — but we list installers and state-specific guidance for both.
Can my company be added to a state listing?
Yes. We add and remove installers based on independent research, not on requests or fees. Email us with documentation of your state license, NABCEP certification (if applicable), years in business, and customer reviews. We'll evaluate independently.
How current is the contact information?
Each listing was verified at publication date. Phone numbers, websites, and addresses change — if you find outdated info, please let us know and we'll update.
What if my state has only national installers, no good locals?
That's the case in some states with low solar adoption (Wyoming, Mississippi, Louisiana, etc.). In those cases, we list whoever serves the state with verified residential capability — sometimes that's regional installers from a neighboring state, sometimes it's national companies. We'll always note the distinction.
